I often think of Myamoto Musashi who not content with being the greatest samurai  of his time also left major calligraphy,  fabulous gardens as well as fundamental writings...

I like to consider man as a musical instrument:  our myriads of strings  vibrate at every moment, stimulated by our  outer and inner worlds. The music is  an art of living where rhythms, melodies and harmonies unfold constantly. On stage, improvising on a silent film, composing for a film... The techniques change but the principle  remains the same... Living your art.
